Songwriter Speaks with
Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall

It is APRA's pleasure to be able to invite you to our next Songwriter Speaks featuring the talented Brisbane songwriters
Kate Miller-Heidke
and Keir Nuttall.

Tuesday, 23rd September 2008
Venue: The Troubadour
Brunswick Street Mall, Fortitude Valley Q 4006
Time: Doors Open 6pm for 6.30pm start

With their acute pop sensibilities matched with their wide musical influences and a love of songwriting, Kate and Keir were able to create one of the most interesting and listenable albums of 2007, "Little Eve". "Little Eve" debuted at #3 on the ARIA Australian Artist Chart and was nominated for 4 x ARIA Awards. Kate's live performances have sold out National Tours, supported the likes of Cyndi Lauper and Evermore and recently she performed at the 2008 APRA awards.

Kate and Keir have both won Q Song Awards in the Pop Category. “Apartment” written by Kate in 2006 and “Shoe Box” (written by Keir and performed by Kate) in 2007 and the songs Words, Make it Last and the much loved Space Then Cannot Touch have all received extensive national airplay.

More recently, Kate and Keir have continued their hard work ethic in LA where they worked with producer Mickey Petralia (Beck, Peaches, The Flight of the Conchords) and completed their second album "CURIOUSER" (due October).

Songwriter Speaks is an APRA initiative which enables APRA members to gain an insight into some of Australia's most successful songwriters. The night will be an intimate discussion followed by an audience Q&A, reflecting on Kate and Keir's songwriting processes and recent recording experiences in LA.

Please come and join Kate and Keir.
