AMCOS Board Meeting - 15 June 2007

• AGM 2007: Procedure for electronic voting approved by the APRA Board.
• Music Grants: All recommendations for 2008 grants were approved.
• Music Awards: Resolved that a limit of two nominations per member, per category in introduced for the 08 Awards; resolved that the publishers of award nominees be contacted prior to the Awards each year and given the opportunity of confirming that the category of nomination is appropriate for the work nominated and/or nominee; resolved to consider the creation of a Jazz Awards event.
• CISAC News: Both boards congratulated APRA|AMCOS CEO Brett Cottle on his appointment as CISAC Chair, and Scot Morris, Director International, and Gus Jansen, CIO, on their respective appointments to CISAC working groups.
• Karaoke: AMCOS will now offer a licence for the recording of Karaoke perfomances in association with an APRA licence in order to make those performances available online.
