On February 23, over 60 attendees from APRA|AMCOS' publisher members attended a seminar at APRA|AMCOS head office in Sydney. Our legal counsel, Kate Haddock, discussed the Copyright Amendment Act 2006 and Mark Eades gave an overview of the APRA|AMCOS departmental restructure, and how APRA|AMCOS allocates royalties from new media sources.
The presentations from the seminar are now available online for your reference.
Please note that the Departmental Restructure presentation has been revised, as the version used at the seminar contained some errors:
- MROC timebombing is now the responsibility of the Works Registration section in Distribution – this is no longer handled by the Clearance Facility section. Queries relating to MROC timebombing should be directed to Mark Eades - Manager Publisher Services APRA|AMCOS.
- AMCOS Societies claims queries/disputes (mechint@apra.com.au) are primarily handled by Margaret Ferreira.
Seminar attendees who kept the presentation handouts should replace them with the revised presentations above.
