Not a great deal to talk about in this, my last edition before I depart.  The dust has settled in regard to distribution 42B and we are now well into 43A.  Again I would like to thank the Publishers for their assistance and co-operation in meeting deadlines, providing cue sheets and settling any disputes possible in time for the cut off.

I imagine we are all looking forward to the Festive Season and spending time with our families and friends so I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy holiday and a prosperous New Year.

NEW FACES AT APRA
The Agreements Section has a new Publisher Representative Jeremy Craib who comes to us from APRA's Distribution Department and we welcome him to the department.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ebony Williams in the new role of Indigenous Project Officer (effective 2 November 2005). Ebony is responsible for bringing APRA’s expertise and services to the growing community of Indigenous composers and songwriters around Australia.  Read more
CIS UPDATE
More than 80 participants from 40 societies attended the 6th CIS Sessions which were held in Toronto in October. Central to the discussions were issues relating to the development of CISAC tools and in particular to their integration into CIS- Net. Read on for a summary of the key decisions...

APRA REPORTS SOLID REVENUE GROWTH IN 2004-05
The Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA) delivered solid revenue growth and operational efficiency for its songwriter, composer and music publisher members over the 2004/05 financial year, said APRA CEO, Brett Cottle, at the APRA AGM held on 17 November 2005. Read more

APRA is proud to host a series of four Songwriter Sessions at the January 2006 Tamworth Country Music Festival. The Australian Songwriter Sessions will be lead by Beccy Cole, Mike Carr and Catherine Britt; and the International  Session by U.S songwriter, David Lee.
