Staying in touch: which email addresses to use. It seems that following the departmental restructure discussed in the last editions of Antenna, many publisher members are still unsure which group email addresses to use when contacting APRA|AMCOS. In particular, many members are still sending emails regarding mechanical right ownership of works to cmscf@apra.com.au, when mech@apra.com.au should generally be used instead. APRA|AMCOS NewsPerforming Right: APRA publisher members can expect to receive payments and statements for APRA Distribution 44A (earnings Jul-Dec 2006) in the week commencing 14 May.
Mechanical Right: The AMCOS CMS March 2007 quarter distribution is being run this week (week commencing 7 May). Please note that certain CMS/CF functions will be unavailable during this time. AMCOS members will receive payments and statements for this distribution by the end of May.

APRA Awards NewsNominations for the 2007 APRA Music Awards were announced at a media launch held at the Civic Hotel, Sydney. Celebrating 25 years of honouring songwriters and composers, the 2007 Awards will be held at the Melbourne Town Hall on Tuesday, 5 June. Click here for more information. 2007 Classical Music Awards presented by APRA and the Australian Music Centre will be held on 12 September at the Sydney Theatre, Walsh Bay, Sydney. 2007 APRA - AGSC Screen Music Awards will be held on 27 November at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place, Sydney. |
