APRA Music Awards: The 2008 Nominees!

Supporting Top End songwriters: APRA opens the door in Darwin

Leading national and NT music industry representatives joined Rob Collins, National Indigenous & NT Writer Services Representative, to celebrate the opening of APRA's Darwin office on Monday, 26 May 2008.

Connect@Geelong: APRA members in Geelong are invited to attend a Connect meeting on Thursday 26 June, at 6:30pm at the Courthouse Youth Arts Centre. Special guest speaker is Jonathan Williamson, Program Manager - Victoria Rocks Arts Victoria. Jonathan will be discussing funding opportunities available through Arts Victoria. 2008 Membership Survey: Later this month some APRA|AMCOS members will receive an email inviting them to participate in an online survey. It's important to us to know what we're doing well and where we can improve our services. Please take the time to complete the survey. We look forward to receiving your feedback.

The 2008 Classical Music Awards presented by APRA and the Australian Music Centre will be held on Monday 21 July at The Sydney Opera House. More details to follow.

Coming soon: fully automatic payments
APRA will cease making royalty payment by cheque from 1 January 2009. The move to fully automatic payments will streamline the royalty payment process and deliver a reduction in costs. We will provide further information in future editions of Bytes in the lead up to the 1 January 2009 change over.
